Jean Cate
CASA Program Director           

Jean CateJean Cate is CASA Program Director, overseeing activities for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Hood and Somervell. She recruits, trains, and supervises a pool of over 30 dedicated CASA volunteers. In coordination with other program directors, Ms. Cate also develops and implements an annual operating plan.

Before coming to Mission Granbury, Ms. Cate functioned as Vice President of the Lake Granbury Area Chamber of Commerce where she was responsible for membership, special events, fundraising, public relations, and management of volunteers.

Ms. Cate, an avid volunteer herself, has served on numerous community service committees, including as Chairman of the Granbury Parks and Recreation Board for the past 14 years and Chairman of the Community Resource Coordination Group. Ms. Cate has also served on the board at Hood Somervell Children’s Advocacy Center and at City of Granbury Charter Review. She was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the Lake Granbury Chamber of Commerce, its highest accolade, in 2004 and was named The Hood County News Woman of the Year in 2008.

Ms. Cate and Charlie, her husband of 52 years, reside in Granbury, Texas, where they have raised seven children. While not working at Mission Granbury, she enjoys being active in her community, reading, and traveling.




Mary Davis
Director of Operations & Programs/Interim ED

As victim assistance and case management director, Mary Davis oversees all victim assistance and emergency assistance client services. She is responsible for directing all aspects of the comprehensive family violence shelter program at the Ada Carey Center for Women and Children. Ms. Davis serves as a resource on all issues concerning family violence, sexual assault, victim assistance, and supervises case management and crisis intervention.

For almost ten years prior to joining Mission Granbury, Ms. Davis was the Director of Homelessness Services for over 2 years.There she provided peer counseling, performed case management services, and supervised all aspects of the shelter, including training managers, interns, and volunteers. Ms. Davis also has experience working as a senior tax professional for Jackson Hewitt in Cleburne.
