VOLUNTEER AND COMMUNITY EVENTS COORDINATOR

Mission Granbury is seeking an outgoing, community minded, people loving person with excellent organizational and communication skills to fill the role of Volunteer and Community Event Coordinator. The  Volunteer/Community Event Coordinator is an important part of our Development Team and is responsible for recruiting, orientating, and retaining volunteers for all departments. S/he coordinates and is the primary contact for community based events such as the Ghost Run, First Friday Food Pantry, Operation School Supplies, various health and education fairs and special exhibits.  Attends various community based events as a representative of Mission Granbury.  This position is a major part of the Development Department and requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, social media and other virtual communication platforms.

Requirements:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field or minimum of three years’ experience in a non-profit leadership role or volunteer management. Must have extensive computer skills, the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing and be able to network and establish good working relationships with other community partners. Must have working knowledge of major social media platforms.

PRN Shelter Advocate/Ada Carey Family Violence Shelter

Work to make a Difference!  Are you a night owl or maybe you’d like a weekend job to bring in extra income? Do you want to be part of team that changes the lives of abused women and children? If you answered yes, apply to become an Advocate at Mission Granbury’s Ada Carey Family Violence Shelter. We are seeking PRN advocates to cover evening and weekend shifts. Successful candidate will be motivated, organized and dependable and have a passion for helping others. Duties include assisting with crisis intervention, answering the crisis hotline, and providing advocacy and other supportive services to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

 

Advocates must pass a criminal background check, have reliable transportation and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
