DONATIONS OF NEW AND GENTLY USED ITEMS ARE ACCEPTED AT THE SHOPPE

WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY ONLY

10:00 A.M. TO 3:00 PM.

It's hard to say "no thank you" to a donation when those donations help fund Mission Granbury programs. However, we must refuse some items for being non-recyclable or containing hazardous materials. Other times, the item must be refused because it costs more to transport, repair or refurbish than it can be sold for in our store. Our donation attendants are trained to know what we can and cannot accept, and will help guide you to other possibilities for items we cannot use.

    Items we cannot use include:

​

•  Wet, dirty or stained items, including clothing, dishes, pots and pans, etc.  

•  Clothing that is torn, ripped, missing buttons, has broken zippers 

•  USED UNDERGARMENTS OR SOCKS

•  Shoes with holes, excessively dirty or worn-out

•  Used bed pillows, mattresses/box springs, including waterbed mattresses and waterbed frames

•  Furniture that is broken, stained, has torn and excessively worn upholstery, or is covered in pet hair, or has pet damager

•  Opened personal care items such as shampoo, conditioner, nail polish remover, shaving cream, hairsprays, shavers, fragrance items,   toothpaste, mouthwash, lotions, etc.

•  TVs with tubes (we can only accept flat screen TVs)

•  CRT Computer Monitors / Printers

•  Medical equipment such as wheelchairs, shower chairs, breathing machines, etc.

•  Household chemical products such as pesticides, paint, paint thinner, drain cleaner, oven cleaner, bug sprays, aerosols and other  environmentally-unfriendly waste products

•  Automotive hazardous waste such as tires, lead acid batteries, additives, gasoline, oils, antifreeze, etc.

•  ANY Freon-Based appliance in need of refill or repair

•  No traditional recyclables such as glass, newsprint, office paper, cardboard, plastics, magazines, junk mail, etc.

•  No weapons such as guns, bows and arrows, ammunition, hunting knives, etc.

•  No cribs, car seats, walkers or other products that do not meet the current safety standards of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission,   including recalled items 

•  Any non-working appliances large or small (toasters to stoves) or in need of ANY parts or repairs (e.g. Crockpot without lid, etc.)
