The Ada Carey Shelter for Women and Children has provided safe haven for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault since 1998 and is the only facility of its kind in our area.

Located 30 miles from Fort Worth and 60 miles from Dallas, Mission Granbury’s family violence shelter strives to provide a home like environment with a full kitchen, family living area and playroom.

The Shelter provides 24/7 care to an average of 12 people per night. Licensed counselors  provide individual and group therapy to both resident and non-resident clients. Volunteers provide additional services such as transportation, addiction therapy groups and other life-skills groups, budgeting and resume preparation.

Hotline advocates answer phones 24 hours a day.
